HAPPY GOOD FRIDAY.
After over 3
years of a successful ministry, Jesus Christ purpose was to be fulfilled. On
that faithful day after he had his last supper with his disciples, he took
peter, James and john with him to the garden of Gethsemane where he went to
pray.
Our lord praying in agony knowing the time had come for him
to sacrifice himself for mankind. Sadly when he came to check his disciples
they couldn’t even watch for him. being in anguish, he prayed more earnestly,
and his sweat was like drops of blood falling to the ground (Luke 22:44 NIV).
The iniquity of all mankind poured
into the cup for my lord to drink. ’My father, if it is possible, may this cup
be taken from me.yet not as I will, but as you will’’ Matt 26:42.He who knew no
sin became sin for the sake of mankind. It was so painful that God could not
even look at his son because his eyes cannot behold iniquity.
The soldiers beat my lord, stripped him naked and publicly
mocked him, my lord suffered on the cross. He endured the pain for my sake and yours.
My lord was labelled cursed because caused is he who is hanged on the tree.
But at about the 9th hour, something happened………………………………………………………GOD
DIED, For who? For me and you.
